Pawsoft Minimail v2.1.1

Small, easy to use email composer and sender

Contents

Introduction

Minimail is a small, easy to use email composer and sender. It provides a quick and easy way to write and send emails without the need to open your bulky, full-featured email client. Features include: file attachments, multiple accounts, signatures, logging, SMTP authentication, undo and redo, minimise to system tray and more.

We hope you find Minimail useful. If you have any feedback about this program, such as suggestions on how to improve it or bug reports, please contact us via our website at http://www.pawsoft.com or by emailing support@pawsoft.com.

Getting Started

First set up your sender details in the Accounts dialog the first time you run Minimail, making sure you have typed in your SMTP server correctly (your ISP should let you know your SMTP server address - something like mail.ispname.com). You must also provide your name and email address so the recipient knows who the email is coming from. Then, type your recipient's email address into the main dialog, give the email a subject and body, click send and your email should be sent! Minimail will then clear its main dialog ready for you to send your next email.

Minimail has many tooltips - little descriptions that pop up if you hover the mouse pointer over an object for a few seconds. To learn more about a button, text box or check box simply point to it and wait for its description to appear.

Minimail is designed to be keyboard-friendly. The buttons on the main dialog all have a keyboard shortcut associated with them. To active the button at any time just hold down the 'Alt' key and press the character that is underlined on the button. For instance, to send an email you can press 'Alt' and 's' at the same time.
